Ladies 40th Anniversary Games

Thursday 25th June was a big day for the club with the ladies playing Bowls England to celebrate their 40th Anniversary. Despite losing heavily the ladies had an enjoyable day playing against opposition that included County players from nine different counties as well as Past England presidents. Despite playing against this strong opposition Shefford did have a winning rink of Rosie Batcheldor, Sylvia Lawrence, Joy Bland and Shay Mumford.

Last Friday May 1st saw the ladies play their first game to celebrate their 40th Anniversary with a game against their Bedfordshire County executives. The Shefford ladies excelled themselves but went down by 75shots to 73.The club won on two rinks and lost on two. The highest Shefford winning rink was Ann bland, Rita Faulkner, Margaret Gorringe and Sheila Brown.
