Our Origins
Shefford Bowls Club was founded in 1964 by a group of local enthusiasts who shared a passion for the sport and a vision for building a welcoming community club. Since then, we’ve grown into a thriving part of Shefford’s sporting life, proud of our heritage and committed to keeping the spirit of bowls alive for future generations.
Growth & Success
Since its founding in 1964, Shefford Bowls Club has steadily grown into a thriving and respected part of the local community. Our membership continues to expand, our facilities have developed over time, and we regularly compete in local and regional competitions with great success.
A proud moment in our recent history came in 2019, when our junior pair, Adrian Allen and Connor Hart, reached the national quarter finals — a testament to the talent and dedication nurtured within the club. Achievements like this reflect the bright future of bowls at Shefford and the strength of our club at all levels.
